How to Use
For Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and blends of these
grasses, apply at the REGULAR RATE
For bermudagrass, bahiagrass, centipedegrass, and blends of these grasses, apply at the
HEAVY RATE.
For control of cudweed, hop clover, evening primrose and henbit on warm season grasses and
tall fescue, apply at the HEAVY RATE.
Turf Builder With Halts Crabgrass Preventer should be applied when your lawn is dry. It is not
necessary to water-in after application, although watering-in will activate the active ingredient.
For best results, apply after you have mowed the lawn to allow the product to more easily reach
the soil.

When to Apply
Apply to dry foliage in early spring
Before dandelions reach the puffball stage
Where Not to Use
This product is NOT compatible with grass seed (if product is applied in the spring, seed in the
fall). Do not apply to newly seeded areas.

What It Controls
Selective control of these sprouting annual grassy weeds: crabgrass, foxtail, barnyardgrass, fall
panicum, and Poa annua. Selective control of these sprouting annual broadleaf weeds:
chickweed, oxalis (common yellow woodsorrel), and prostrate spurge

Cautions
Not for use on dichondra or bentgrass lawns.

Do not apply Turf Builder With Halts Crabgrass Preventer more than twice annually. IMPORTANT
Do not rake or aerify for four months after application to avoid disturbing the crabgrass barrier on
the soil surface.

Staining Note: Can cause staining to cement, stone, metallic surfaces (such as automobiles and
garden furniture), and clothing or shoes. If contact occurs, brush off particles to prevent staining
and/or unwanted tracking into the house. If necessary, rinse off with water.
